BIOGRAPHY
Sean is a passionate and highly experienced physiotherapist who has worked at Midland Physiotherapy for more than 25 years.
He completed postgraduate study at The University of Western Australia, earning a Master of Manual Therapy. This advanced qualification, together with decades of clinical experience, has given Sean a high level of expertise in the assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions.
Over the course of his career, Sean has worked with people from all walks of life, including many elite-level athletes. He was part of the Hopman Cup medical team for many years, providing physiotherapy care to some of the world’s leading tennis players. While he has enjoyed working in elite sport, Sean is equally inspired by helping people within the local community overcome pain, return to the activities they enjoy and get the best out of their lives.
Sean is a skilled manual therapist. He combines hands-on treatment with tailored exercise programs, education and practical lifestyle advice to address the factors contributing to each person’s condition. This individualised approach has helped thousands of patients over the years, from those with recent injuries to people managing complex or persistent problems.
He has particular expertise in treating spinal and neck pain, neck-related headaches, shoulder injuries and post-operative shoulder rehabilitation, TMJ disorders and vestibular conditions. Sean enjoys taking the time to properly understand each patient’s concerns and developing a clear treatment plan that reflects their work, sport, lifestyle and personal goals.
As Principal Partner, Sean has a strong focus on the professional development of the whole team within Midland Physiotherapy so that they are delivering not only the best clinical care but also the best customer service experience possible for you.
He is always keeping active, playing golf, basketball and indoor cricket, and having previously done the Ironman Triathlon, the Avon Descent and Rottnest Channel Swim. He is working through the whole Bibbulmun Track in sections, inspired by his wife, and is now trying to learn how to surf (very badly at this stage)
