Melissa Newton

Pelvic Health Physiotherapist & Senior Physiotherapist

BIOGRAPHY

Since graduating from Curtin University in 2016, Melissa has worked extensively in the hospital setting as a physiotherapist and has specialised in the maternity and pelvic health field since 2019. Due to her passion in this area, Melissa completed a postgraduate certificate in pelvic health physiotherapy in 2023 and she now brings this expertise across to private practice.

Melissa’s passion is working in collaboration with patients to achieve their individual goals. Every patient is different and she works with you to understand what problems you may be having and plans a treatment program to help. She has special interest and experience in facilitating postnatal return to exercise, management of urinary incontinence, and management of abdominal muscle separation in antenatal and postnatal women. Melissa also has an interest in treating pre and post prostatectomy urinary incontinence and other male pelvic floor dysfunction.

Outside of work, Melissa loves to keep active; you can find her running, at the gym, stand-up paddle boarding, or riding her bike.
